Owner & Occupational Therapist
Kiana is a licensed and registered occupational therapist located in Baltimore, Maryland. Her various specialties are pediatrics ages birth to 21, physical and cognitive dysfunction in midlife adults and geriatrics, feeding deficits, sensory processing concerns, and mental health.
She utilizes a variety of treatment approaches founded on best practices and evidence-based research that is “just right” for the client. She has experience in a variety of settings to include: outpatient clinics, daycares, schools, and home health. Kiana uses client-centered and play-based therapy to target client's goals creating a comfortable environment via all of her enthusiasm! She has treated individuals with various diagnoses and challenges.
First, more about who I am.
I received my Associate in Science at age 18 prior to graduating high school. Subsequently, I completed my Bachelor of Science in Psychology from George Mason University. Finally, I received my Master of Science in Occupational Therapy from Howard University.
I have previous experience working with the geriatric population as a Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) in a SNF for 6 years. Furthermore, while completing my Master's, I received my Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification. This allowed me to work closely with the autistic population providing one-on-one services in homes and clinic settings. I also am recognized as a Certified Autism Specialist (CAS). I have over 5 years of experience with individuals diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder.
In my free time, I enjoy traveling, trying new restaurants, binge watching tv shows, listening to music, and spending time with loved ones!
